This song was made for a good friend in lieu of a more traditional wedding present. The original version was written and recorded in a single day at a house in Nashville. It didn’t have the pedal steel and it had a lot more slide guitar.
This version captures better the sounds desired through the use of a Pedal Steel. An upright bass is paired with a jazzy sounding drum beat and we keep it nice and mellow. Soft, overlapping vocals round out the feel of this gentle introspection which focuses on the emotions of a wedding day.
